Near La Jolla, California, this is the renovation of a 1970's-era outdoor shopping center. Scale, regional flavor, and good materials re-invigorate the public spaces and furnishings of this "townscape." New arcades and columned loggias are a nod to early 20th century California architect Irving Gill.
