This San Francisco apartment was created for an antiques dealer with a collection of eighteenth century French and Italian furniture, suggesting an opulent French residence redone by a great American decorator. Many of the architectural elements were imported from Paris – as were the plasterers, installers, faux painters and muralists who executed the work.
